Northfield is proud to be the home of more than 100 businesses.  The community enjoys a robust industrial sector, with major manufacturers such as  Eptam Plastics, Blouin Steel Fabricators, Freudenberg NOK, PCC Structurals, forming the backbone of our manufacturing/industrial base.  Other major employers include Spaulding Youth Center, a premier residential and day school for children experiencing developmental disabilities that draws students from throughout the state. 

Recent years have seen a dramatic increase in Northfield's recreation economy.  Highland Mountain Bike Park is a destination location from mountain bikers from across the eastern US and Canada while the Winnipesaukee River attracts white water kayakers with numerous special events and races throughout the year.

In addition to the jobs provided in Northfield also draws workers from, and provides employee for, the nearby commercial and business centers in Tilton, Laconia, Concord or Manchester.
