Transfer Station / Recycle Center
The town operates a transfer station and recycling center on Johnson Road for your use.
A Transfer Station sticker on the windshield of your vehicle is required to use the facility. To obtain a new sticker please visit the Town Highway Garage Monday - Thursday 7:30am - 3:00pm and Friday 7:30am - 2:00pm, you will need to bring current proof of residency.
Hours of Operation are:
- Tue: 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
- Sat: 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
The Transfer Station will accept the following recyclable materials if they are clean and sorted:
- Cardboard (corrugated, brown)
- Glass
- Cans – Steel
- Cans – Aluminum
- Plastics - #1 & #2 must be rinsed out; any oil based products (peanut butter, vegetable oil, etc...) must be washed out completely. No Caps Allowed
- Metal
- Vehicle Batteries
- Styrofoam #6
Recyclables not sorted into the above categories will not be accepted.
In addition to accepting your recyclables the Transfer Station will continue to accept, electronic, televisions, microwaves, florescent bulbs, propane tanks, tires, appliances, household furniture for a fee or coupon equivalent.
