Residents

Northfield offers its residents an unparalleled quality of life.  Combining the rural feel of winding back roads with the convenience of Interstate access to major metropolitan areas, Northfield truly has something for everyone.

The Town has taken great efforts to maintaining its natural resources; so whether you like to picnic, hike, jog, swim, bicycle, canoe or kayak you can do it all here in Northfield.  In the winter the town provides ready access to the statewide system of snowmobile trails.

For those wanting to venture further abroad for their outdoor fun Northfield sits less than 20 miles west of New Hampshire’s largest lake, Lake Winnipesaukee, and 50 miles south of the famous White Mountains, which have provided quality summer and winter outdoor recreation to New England families for more than a century.  Golfers may choose from a half-dozen courses within 15 miles of Northfield.

If outdoor recreation isn’t your thing, Northfield offers close proximity to many cultural and music venues, including Meadowbrook Pavilion in nearby Gilford, the Capital Center for the Arts in Concord and Manchester’s Palace Theater.  For the sports minded the area offers the New Hampshire Fisher Cats, a minor league baseball team and the Manchester Monarchs, a professional hockey team, just a few miles south of town.
