Tax Collector

In 1989 the voters of Northfield combined Town Clerk and Tax Collector into a single position. The Town Clerk/Tax Collector is elected to a three year term. Heather Failla has served as Northfield's Tax Collector since 2023.

Heather is responsible for collecting not only town taxes but also the property taxes assessed in Northfield for the School District, and Fire District.

Semi-annual tax bills are typically due July 1 and December 1, or a minimum of 30 days after bills are mailed. Property taxes may be paid in person (cash or check), by mail (21 Summer Street Northfield NH 03276) or online by credit card or ACH. Northfield does not accept credit card payments or electronic transfers from individuals at Town Hall.
