Public Hearing

There will be a Public Hearing on a Franchise Agreement for Comcast Cable TV on Tuesday September 19, 2023 @ 6:00pm. 

The Town of Northfield has received an official notice that Comcast Corporation is interested in a cable television franchise agreement between Comcast and the Town of Northfield. As part of the process the Northfield Board of Selectmen will hold a public hearing on the Comcast Franchise Agreement on Tuesday September 19th 2023 at 6pm at the Northfield Town Hall, 21 Summer Street, Northfield, NH.

Federal law does not allow a community to review or regulate the following subject matter when considering a cable television franchise agreement: broadcast and channel programming, fees charged for services, internet services or telephone services.

The focus of this process will be on video programming quality, reliability, availability, customer service and local access channels.

This public hearing will coincide with a regularly scheduled Northfield Selectmen Meeting.
