Registrations and decals will be mailed out and you should receive them in 5-7 (postal) days. 

In 1989 the voters combined Town Clerk and Tax Collector into a single position. The Town Clerk/Tax Collector is elected to a three year term. Heather Failla has served as Northfield's Tax Collector since 2023.

The Town Clerks are responsible for managing all town elections and certifying the results. They can also assist you with any of the following:

• Registration or re-registration of your vehicle, boat, snowmobile, or ATV
• Purchase of a marriage license, birth certificate, death certificate and marriage certificate, as well as copies of all said vital records
• Licensing of dogs

Both are Notaries Public who can help you with certification of  documents.

The Town Clerks also maintain town records. At the Town Clerk's Office you can review non-restricted vital statistics dating back to the town's founding, records of previous town meetings, copies of ordinances and other town documents.
