TAX RELIEF PROGRAM
FOR PERSONS WITH LOW AND 
MODERATE INCOME

Applications are accepted only during the filing period - after May 1, but no later than June 30th.

Application forms (Form DP-8) are now available at the Town Hall and on the NH Department of Revenue Administration’s website -https://www.revenue.nh.gov/forms/low-moderate.htm  this is a fallible pdf form (use Internet Explorer).

Residents who do not have access to the Internet or who cannot pick up a form the Town Hall may request a Form DP-8 by calling the NH Department of Revenue Admin Forms Line at (603) 230-5920.  Older versions of the Form DP-8 will not be accepted by the Department

Who is eligible?  You may be eligible if you are:
•    Single with adjusted gross income equal to or less than $20,000; or
•    Married or head of NH household with adjusted gross income less than or equal to $40,000; and
•    Own a homestead subject to the State Education Property Tax; and
•    Have resided in that homestead on April 1 or the year for which the claim is made.

When and where do I apply for relief?
Completed claims, Form DP-8, shall be filed with the Department no sooner than May 1, 2021 and no later than June 30, 2021.

The law allows 120 days (approximately 4 months) for processing from the date of receipt of your completed claim received by the Department between May 1 and June 30.
